First of all, should I use Melaka or Malacca?? I will stick to Melaka since it's UNESCO official name.
Today is my second day in Melaka. On Monday morning Sihou and I met up at 5am and drove up there. 3hrs journey. I was tired from waking up so early.
Sihou and I knew each other 4 years ago, we have been sharing about our childhood dream to be a pilot since then. On Monday night when we were about to fall asleep (we share a hostel room) we both felt surreal that this is coming true- We are now on our journey to be pilot. We are now pilot trainee in Malaysian Flying Academy (MFA).
For the next 3 month, we'll be doing theory stuff only. The flying will start in Feb 2009 for 3 month, and then revert back to 3 month theory again. I am struggle to sit still and stay awake in class listen to lecture from 8 to 5pm. (By 330pm I am sleeping with my eyes open already).
MFA students are majority from Malaysia. In my class, there are only 4 non-Malaysia (Singaporeans to be exact). Out of the 20 Malaysian, there are only 2 Chinese. Most of the Malaysian students are barely 20s. As such, the academy has a culture of addressing and treating us like boys. Besides that, we have to put on uniform (Pants, shirt and tie). It's totally not naturally for me (now that I am almost 30, I would feel more natural is I am 10 years younger) but I will get use to it in no time.
Besides school, I need to work on my spiritual life too. Must read bible everyday. Please pray for me to be spiritual. Also pray for God to give me the wisdom and skill require to be an excellent pilot.
Things that I like here are my room. It's totally brand new and complete with attached bathroom. I have my good friend as my room-mate. Lastly, all meals are provided and the kitchen stuf do not restrict the portion. I really have to fight my greed, cannot eat like buffet every meal.
If you miss me, I can be reached at +6 012 6484181. Looks like my M1 no.
See you
