I try hah ... wow difficult to translate... Magic of the Angel( tian shi de moh fa)... Warmth n motherly( wen nuan zong ci xiang). Yah u r right! I seem to lost the ability to spell ( Han Yu pin yin) now I'm out of school for so long. So sad, no more champion for mandarin.

Do you know that Taiwanese don't learn pronunciation by Hanyu Pinyin? They adapt a system call Zu Yin. Instead of using romam alphebet to represent a sound (for e.g. 'B' is pronouce as "Bo" sound) they use a special character to represent a sound. I think that's why "Taibei" is spell as "Taipei". "GaoXiong" is spell as "KaoShiung".
Come to think of it, I think our education system laid a solid foundation for Pinyin. I find Pinyin extremely useful.
But there's pronunciation I always mixed up for e.g. "Zong" and "Zhong". "Ying" and "Yin".
